everytime I get on the elf’s website, there is always some sale on there, some coupon, something new. I am addicted to elf products! I always try to stay away from their website because once I go on it, I want to buy everything!!! uggh! this little haul only cost me $25.00 and a free subscription to Vougue! (although..I’m not to happy about that~)lol.
I cant get enough of elf! here is to another elf-biased review
OK since I did a video review of the foundations, I decided not to do a text review of the foundations. So this is a half and half post, but I included the comparison pictures in the video for you to see, for each product.
the nail pen would not be reviewed in this post but rather in the perfect nails post (coming soon!)
e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation
e.l.f. Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
e.l.f. Essential Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
please watch the video for more info on the foundations and Tinted moisturizers.
when I saw the lipstain online, it kinda reminded me of the revlon colorstay overtime lipcolor, I had been wearing colorstay everyday that week, obsessed with the intensity and longevity. This is when I decided to give the elf one a try, although I was kind of doubtful at first because I had bought NYC lipcolor (which was about the same price as the elf lipcolor) but it was not very good.
I am very impressed with the pigmentation of this lipstain, it is very pretty and shows on my dark lips! Its not as long lasting as colorstay, but it does last for a while, through eating and drinking (check the wedding pics~ I wore it during the wedding) I was truly amazed! I layer it with nude lippies for moisture and intensity, although it is drying and very matte and silky to the lips.
e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeliner
I like applying Gold eyeshadow or eyeliner to the bottom of my eyes, to enhance them. I actually do this everyday, even when I’m not wearing any makeup.
I started doing this because when I wear darker shades of eyeliner, if I don’t do it very well, I end up looking like a raccoon, but with gold, since its almost close to skin tone, it looks like a highlighter, and makes me look almost less tired (almost because I ALWAYS look tired lol~ look at the foun pics again lol!)
I usually use gold cream eyeshadow, or eyeliner pens. I have never tried cream eyeliner until now. I am actually wearing it as well in the video. This eyeliner lasts pretty long~all, and is indeed water resistant. It was worth the price.
My only problem with it was that. THIS IS NOT GOLD. it looks more green than gold!! geez elf get your colors right. The last gold eyeliner I bought looked copper now this one looks almost green. The only true gold eyeliner I have is the essentials ($1.00) eye brightening eyeliner~ still my favorite one too.
e.l.f. Studio 2-in-1 Sponge
This sponge is a very good blender for the skin, I don’t like the fuzzy side though- its supposed to give a natural look but its like the fuzzy side has some kind of fiber that it puts on your skin….IDK what that is, but its weird, its kind of like a powder puff. I’d rather use the full coverage side.
e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set
although the purpose of this mist is to make your makeup set and last. I do not use it for such. It makes my makeup run after spraying, I & other reviewers on the site just cant get it right…..
I think they should have made it in a aerosol form for easy spreading and less mess.
however, I do use it as a replacement for my evian spray, when my skin gets dry & irritated it works as a good refresher (by then my makeup has probably faded), so since it costs much less than evian, I would be repurchasing this.
Well that is my review of my teeny tiny haul, ive been writing long posts lately, I guess because I blog less often, I feel the need to compensate phychologically.
Thanks for reading!! and watching the video~ Ohhh don’t forget to enter my f21 giveaway!!!
