Hello! So today I would be reviewing and doing an NOTD of Pure Ice New Year, New Hue collection. With this collection, you get a chance to play with color and texture to create looks straight off the runway the ultimate way to get the look with the swipe of a brush. Whether it’s feminine & sweet, ultra glam, or rocker chic, the New Year, New Hue collection claims to have an offering of shades to achieve any mood.
The colors are, Frost Finish: a mattifying top coat, Flawless: a frosted light gold with a metallic finish, Doll Face: a soft crème peach, What’s the Splatter: clear with white and black hex glitter, Blue Hue: blue glitter hint, Pure Haze: purple glitter hint, Poppin’ Bottles: silver pearl with silver hex glitter and a gold iridescent finish, Rosy Glow: pink glitter hint. Pure Ice nail enamels are free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. Each bottle is elegant and streamlined in design, with bilingual packaging that is compliant across markets in the US, EU and Canada.
WHAT’S THE SPLATTER I am in love with this topcoat, it makes any polish look posh and gorgeous! I decided to pair it with pure ice laven-dare. It reminds me of oreo cookies, I love the white and black hex glitter. I used about 2-3 coats and it dried quite nicely for a glitter polish!
FLAWLESS At first when I tried this polish on, I was a little skeptic. I am not really into chrome colors, and I was unsure of it but after 2-3 coats I was in LOVE! This color is gorgeous! It makes the nails look classy. I love the gold!!! I cant wait to try it with stickers and decorations. This polish dries quite fast, and you need 2-3 coats for its intensity!
PURE HAZE Purple haze is a gel-like polish, with purple and holographic glitter. The color is gorgeous and looks great on dark polish. It needs 2-3 coats for intensity but takes longer to dry the more coats you pile on. This was a problem I had with both pure haze and blue hue.
BLUE HUE Blue hue consists of blue glitter tint. It also has some gel like blue tint which changes the color of any polish and adds a tint of blue. I like it but I actually prefer pure haze, which is more glam to blue hue.
ROSY GLOW Is a gorgeous red-pink glitter, this is my favorite of the three, it great to pair with a red polish, you need 2-3 coats for tint but it dries quite nicely. I actually love the way it looks with red polish, it adds spice to the color!
DOLLFACE This is by far my favorite of the whole collection! I am in LOVE with the color, it speaks spring! and is just a beautiful shade of peach! The color dries pretty well, lasts long and it has intensity just after 2 coats! This is the best color of the collection!!
FROST FINISH This is a nice matte top coat, it actually mattifies quite nicely.
POPPIN’ BOTTLES Poppin’ bottles is a gorgeous silver pearl topcoat with silver glitter and a gold finish. This topcoat glitzes up any polish. It dries fast and it is great for all types of colors. I love how it looks on doll face!
Overall I love this collection, I am in love with dollface, poppin’ bottles, what’s the splatter and flawless. I like Rosy glow and I think it would look good on reds and dark colors as well. Check out pure Ice’s New Year, New Hue collection at your local Wal-Mart, it retails for $1.97 each at locations nationwide and walmart.com.
