L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Review [PS]

HELLOOO there!! So today I will be doing a review of the loreal advanced haircare extraordinary oil collection! I am a hair junkie (a makeup and skin care junkie as well) and I love trying new hair product especially if I can add them to my holy grail collection. So I was very excited to try these products by loreal!

I love when hair products contain oil in them, they help keep hair moisturized as they clean and treat. It's a double feature. My hair comes out shiny and detangled and I don't dread wash days anymore. The collection contains 3 products the shampoo, the conditioner and the oil/serum. I also received the deep conditioner for curly hair (which I was so excited to try!).

CLAIM: Dry, lifeless hair? Change it. Revive it. Experience the power of L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil with Oil Complex – Coconut, Argan, Chamomile, Amla, Soja, and Sunflower. Deep nourishment without the weight for incredibly lustrous, touchably soft hair.
System eliminates dryness in 1 wash. Transform dry hair to soft & lustrous.

So the EXTRAORDINARY OIL collection contains 6 oils;
Coconut oil- Shields hair protein, seals in moisture.  Fatty acids bind to the protein in hair and protect both the roots and strands of hair from breakage. Lauric acid is found in coconut oil and has better results than other mineral or sunflower oils when it comes to improving hair health. A coconut oil scalp massage will effectively improve scalp circulation and boost nutrient and oxygen delivery to your hair. Coconut oil is rich in vitamin E, vitamin K and iron and effectively eliminates dandruff while boosting hair growth.

Argan oil- Prevents split ends. It penetrates deep into the hair shaft, strengthening each hair strand and reducing the likelihood of split ends. Regular use of this nourishing oil helps users to grow longer and stronger hair.  Rich in vitamin E, omega-3, and omega-9 fatty acids, Moroccan oil smoothes dry, frizzy hair without weighing it down and making it look greasy and flat.

Chamomile oil-
Chamomile is known to soothe the nerves and it does the same for your hair and scalp, in fact it is the most soothing of the essential oils for the hair and scalp. Chamomile helps to retract skin cells that have been inflamed from chemical procedures, and harsh weather conditions and helps with itching scaly scalp and dandruff.

Amla oil- Contains essential fatty acids that helps strengthen the hair follicles to condition and improve the hair while the oil uses its ability to bind Iron and Cooper. If you’re suffering from dry and itchy scalp, Amla oil can penetrate and treat the scalp. It also contains Amla fruit extracts which are rich in vitamin C, Polyphenols, Flavonoids, protein, carbohydrates, minerals, antioxidants and water.

Soja oil- Soybean oil is rich in many essential hair nutrients and lipids, which help the nutrients absorb more fully into your hair. It is commonly used as a carrier oil for other oils. Hair-care products made with soybean oil can provide nourishment and strength to your hair while helping to maintain its natural moisture balance and adding softness and shine.

Sunflower oil- Contains high levels of Oleic Acid, which is an Omega 9 acid. This Omega 9 acid is known to be one of the essential acids that are needed to be a part of your diet as it can stimulate natural hair growth and is also responsible in preventing brittle hair and also hair loss. Sunflower is known to be packed with Vitamins A, B, C, E, potassium, iron and calcium that are very beneficial for your hair especially when it comes to hair health and growth. Sunflower oil will also serve as protection to your hair from the absorption of UV lights. Rich in Vitamin E which contains antioxidant properties responsible for preventing early hair loss.

L’Oréal PARIS ADVANCED HAIRCARE EXTRAORDINARY OIL NOURISHING SHAMPOO

INGREDIENTS:AQUA / WATER / EAU, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCO-BETAINE, LAURETH-5 CARBOXYLIC ACID, COCAMIDE MIPA, SODIUM CHLORIDE, ISOSTEARYL, NEOPENTANOATE, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, POLYQUATERNIUM-10, AMODIMETHICONE, SODIUM BENZOATE, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, PEG-55 PROPYLENE GLYCOL OLEATE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, SALICYLIC ACID, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, ARGININE.

This shampoo has a light, thin and watery texture with a vanilla-like scent, it lathers very well. My hair did not actually feel clean until the third wash. This might be due to the silicone in it (Amodimethicone). My hair felt semi-moisturized but i would not recommend it for curly or natural hair. I think it would work well on straight, or wavy hair. I would be trying this shampoo on my NSH hair over the summer, especially since i personally do not use sulfate shampoos on my hair.

L’Oréal PARIS ADVANCED HAIRCARE EXTRAORDINARY OIL NOURISHING CONDITIONER

INGREDIENTS:AQUA / WATER / EAU, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, BEHENTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, AMODIMETHICONE, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, COCOS NUCIFERA OIL / COCONUT OIL, BENZOIC ACID, TRIDECETH-6, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE, ARGININE, GLUTAMIC ACID, SERINE, CETRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN, BENZYL SALICYLATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, GLYCINE SOJA OIL / SOYBEAN OIL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL / SUNFLOWER SEED OIL, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE, HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA EXTRACT / MATRICARIA FLOWER EXTRACT, CI 19140 / YELLOW 5, PHYLLANTHUS EMBLICA FRUIT EXTRACT, CI 15985 / YELLOW 6, CI 14700 / RED 4, TOCOPHEROL.

The conditioner also had the same pleasant vanilla scent (all the products do). I love the slip of this conditioner, it is nice and thick. It glided through my hair, detangled it nicely and left it feeling soft and moisturized. The scent stuck to my hair after rinsing as well. The only thing i did not like about the conditioner was the ingredient Amodimethicone again; I have been silicone free for a while since i had a disaster with a silicone conditioner last year, so i stay clear of them. However i did not have any problems like that with this conditioner.
Rating: 4/5

Amodimethicone makes it easier for a comb to glide through the hair. A type of silicone that can be used in a water-based products but by itself is not water soluble. This is one of the lighter silicones because it's a mixture, and studies have found that it tends not to build up in the hair with repeated use.

L’Oréal PARIS ADVANCED HAIRCARE EXTRAORDINARY OIL LUSTROUS OIL SERUM

CLAIM: Instant shine + silky touch

INGREDIENTS: CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, DIMETHICONOL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL / SUNFLOWER SEED OIL, COCOS NUCIFERA OIL / COCONUT OIL, GLYCINE SOJA OIL / SOYBEAN OIL, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA EXTRACT / MATRICARIA FLOWER EXTRACT, BENZYL SALICYLATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE, HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, GARDENIA TAHITENSIS FLOWER EXTRACT, HEXYL CINNAMAL, ROSA CANINA FLOWER EXTRACT, BISABOLOL, NELUMBIUM SPECIOSUM EXTRACT / NELUMBIUM SPECIOSUM FLOWER EXTRACT, LINUM USITATISSIMUM FLOWER EXTRACT, TOCOPHEROL, BHT.

This was by far my favorite of the collection. It was very silky, not too thick, not too thin. I loved how it glides through the hair beautifully. It also moisturizes the scalp pretty well, but works best on shaft of hair, provides shine and locks in moisture. I will definitely be using this as a sealant/shine after heat styling. It might become my HG!

L’Oréal PARIS ADVANCED HAIRCARE EXTRAORDINARY OIL CURLS [RE-NOURISH] MASK

CLAIM: For dry, curly hair. System renourishes, redefines curls in 1 wash. Rehydrates, restores, & re-infuses bounce. Dry, curly hair? Change it. Revive it. Experience the power of L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil Curls with Oil Complex – Amla, Coconut, Soja, Flax, Rose, and Sunflower. Nourishment and elasticity replenished for bouncy, defined, lustrous curls.

INGREDIENTS:AQUA / WATER / EAU, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM / MINERAL OIL / HUILE MINERALE, DIPALMITOYLETHYL HYDROXYETHYLMONIUM METHOSULFATE, CETYL ESTERS, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, CETRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, PHENOXYETHANOL

The EXTRAORDINARY OIL curls [RE-NOURISH] Mask contains some different oils
Flax-Flaxseed oil is a source of the essential fatty acid named alpha linolenic acid, or ALA. Such EFAs are important to hair and skin health. People who lack these often have trouble growing their hair. Dry, brittle hair and hair loss are signs of an EFA deficiency,

Rose oil- The moisturizing properties of rose oil make it a great cure for brittle, dry hair. Rose oil also reduces inflammation, dandruff, or psoriasis.

Felt just like the conditioner but with a thicker consistency. I LOVE how it has no silicones in it. I will definitely repurchase for my weekly deep conditioning and hair mask!
Rating: 5/5

That's my review for this collection, I generally give it a 4/5 total rating I think it is definitely worth the try especially for those with dry hair!!
