Sunday, April 3

Hello April!! March is finally over, counting the months till my birthday (which is 3 months away!!-YAY). Time is going by fast though, I feel like March went by quite fast. I spent March sleeping less, running around and not committing to my skincare routine, quite sad. But I am excited for April. In April I will be strict with my skin, my diet, my life in general. April's goals are for me to eat more fruits and stay healthy, sleep more, and even read more.

Last month's favorites were quite simple, everyday beauty items. Nothing special really.

Etude House Sparkling Toc!s All in One Gel- I have been using this gel as a serum (step 3) of my facial routine for fall/winter/spring. And it has been amazing, it keeps my skin refreshed and hydrated all day without the heaviness or greasiness. It is perfect gel cream for oily or combo skin. Will be doing a full review soon.

Secret Key Syn-Ake Anti Wrinkle and Whitening Cream- I actually purchased this cream for a daily gel moisturizer (step 4). But I just never enjoyed using it- I felt like there were no results until I started using it as a light eye cream. That was when I noticed it was actually working! My wrinkles under my eyes reduced and so did my dark circles!! This is going to be my HG summer/spring/fall eye cream.

Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap- I purchased this soap for one reason. to even out my skin. I had a bad burn last summer on my forehead after doing a very STUPID beauty trick- using hairspray to set makeup. NEVER TRY THAT. So under the sun the hairspray mixed with my sweat and burnt my skin. MY forehead became 4-6 shades darker than the rest of my face, the skin was leathery and I didn't know what to do. I tried almost everything, even makeup wouldn't cover because it could not absorb well until I started this soap. Although it's slowly improving cause I am not consistent, my forehead is now about 1-2 shades darker! YAY!

NATURE REPUBLIC by flower vivid bar tint 04- Unknowingly made it into my favorites. Again. More about this lip tint here.

MICA Beauty Shimmer Powder in 17 Bronze- This is actually an eyeshadow I received in one of my past ipsy bags. I used it as an eyeshadow for a while, then abandoned it once I stopped wearing copper bronzes on my yes. However because it is SO versatile and can be used as many things, I use it as a highlighter and it works amazingly, gives me a gorgeous bronzed glow and blends so well!

Sleek MakeUp Base Duo Kit Foundation Powder 2-in-1 in Fudge- I currently have a love-hate relationship with this compact. Its foundation sucks for me right now, it is not waterproof and the color is too neutral for my skin. However, I am AMAZED by the powder (i really wish it was sold separately). The powder controls my oily T-zone ALL day, matches my skin tone well (it's semi-translucent) and blends well. It makes my skin look smooth and nice. I love using it as a daily powder for when I am not wearing makeup and I use it for my t-zone when I have foundation on.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Rocket Mascara- Although I have my HG mascara that gives me lovely defined lashes, I do need one for volume, cause I love big, long and dramatic lashes. However, I was unable to purchase my usual volume mascara Urban Decay Perversion which was out of stock from my local Ulta, so I reached for this one and I do not regret it! This mascara gives dramatic volume to my lashes, the brush grabs everything and just makes it stand out. Now I am going to try combining it with Perversion and Covergirl Lash Blast Super Sizer Mascara for that ultimate dramatic look.

One 'N Only Argan Oil Hair Spray- Want sleek straight hair, frizz-free, de-poufed hair? this is def the hairspray for you. I love using this when I heat style my curly hair, it coats it and makes it sleek, humidity resistant and frizz free.

Ck One Perfume by Calvin Klein- This is one of my favorite scents to use. I love that it is unisex, and I love the fun scent. It is not too flirty yet not too simple. I am bad at describing scents so I will stop. I have the big size coming to the end of this month for sure!

Equate Stay Awake, Caffeine Alertness Aid- Like I said earlier, last month had been crazy hectic. This was my ride-or-die to stay awake most times I had no access to good coffee. If not, I would've not been productive at all.

That's my favorites for last month, looking forward to April's adventures!
