CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD


Nothing makes your morning coffee more enjoyable than drinking it with a super sweet chocolate chip banana bread. The perfect morning treat to make when you have rotten bananas in the kitchen. I am always excited when my bananas go rotten because I can finally make my favorite dessert which is banana bread!

My college roommate introduced me to banana bread and I have been practicing and refining this recipe ever since, a lot of commercial banana bread comes with nuts, but I'm not a big fan so she decided to substitute it with chocolate chips, but I don't really like milk chocolate either so I added white chocolate into my recipe and decided to split it (being more partial to white chocolate of course).

BAKING TIME: 50-60 min


WHAT YOU WILL NEED
+ Flour 2 cups
+ Butter 1/4 cup
+ Brown Sugar 3/4 cup
+ 3 rotten medium-large bananas, mashed 
+ Vanilla 1 tsp
+ White chocolate chips 2/4 cup
+ Semisweet milk chocolate chips 1/4 cup
+ Walnuts 1/4 cup
+ Ginger powder 1 tsp
+ Baking soda 1 tsp
+ Baking powder 1tsp
+ Apple cider vinegar (ACV) 1 tsp
+ 1/2 tsp salt
+ 2 eggs, beaten
+ Extra brown sugar for filling

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

+ Preheat Oven at 350 F
+ First mix your DRY INGREDIENTS (flour, baking soda, baking powder, ginger powder, and salt ) and set aside


+ Put your FILLING MIX (white chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, and the walnuts) in a bowl and toss to mix evenly


+ In another bowl mash your ripe bananas
+ Set your eggs in another bowl and mix



+ In a third bowl mix your butter and brown sugar till the batter is smooth and then add in the bananas, eggs, ACV, and vanilla and mix with a mixer till smooth
+ Slowly add in your DRY INGREDIENTS and mix with your mixer


+ In a greased pan layer your batter, first put a small layer, add FILLING MIX and sprinkle brown sugar (as shown) then top with more batter and then add more FILLING MIX, sprinkle brown sugar then add the rest of the batter and top with FILLING MIX and more brown sugar
+ Bake at 350 F for 50-60 min
+ Let it cool before slicing the bread 
+ Enjoy!
